On a recent Community Partner Roundtable discussion, Cornerstones Career Learning center presented the programs offered to the communities they serve. Training coordinator Jill Anderson said Cornerstones operates under 4 pillars of support including education, skills, training and coaching. The four areas work as a community workforce learning and development program. Among the many offerings at Cornerstones are GED preparation and English language. Assistant director Becky Lemke talks about how to get involved.
Becky said programs are 100 percent virtual – live and online or self paced distance learning with a designated coach. She said don’t be alarmed by what you think virtual learning is.
She said the virtual classrooms with Cornerstones has reduced the need for transportation and childcare. While their changes have increased accountability for student.
