Last year a leak in the Huron Middle School roof caused damage to the gymnasium floor. The water was cleaned up and efforts were made to keep the damage to a minimum. Huron School Superintendent Dr Kraig Steinhoff talked about a recent development in the condition of the floor at Monday nights Huron School Board meeting.

The work to repair the Huron Middle School roof has been completed with no additional damage considered possible. Dr Steinhoff presented a plan to deal with the issue to the Huron School Board to consider.
Previous talks had been held with Puetz Design and Build and a motion was made to bring them on as the construction manager at risk to repair the damaged floor. The vote was 4-1 in favor of the plan.
