The 2026 FIFA World Cup Final introduced its first full halftime show on July 19, bringing major music stars to New York New Jersey Stadium. Organizers presented the performance as a meeting point for international soccer, popular music and support for global education programs.
During the live event, Madonna opened the show with Music alongside Brazilian soccer legends Ronaldo and Ronaldinho. Gustavo Dudamel then conducted a performance featuring the PS22 Chorus and familiar Muppet characters before BTS delivered Dynamite for the stadium crowd.
Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt appeared as their Ted Lasso characters to introduce Justin Bieber. The singer performed a guitar-led version of Everything Hallelujah, giving the fast-moving production a quieter moment.
Shakira and Burna Boy followed with Dai Dai, the tournament’s official song. Coldplay’s Chris Martin, who helped curate the show, joined the PS22 Chorus and other performers for the closing number.
The production was connected to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which supports education and sports opportunities for children worldwide.
