First meeting of the new fiscal year this past Monday night for the Huron School District board. Garrett Bischoff was elected as chair for the year. Outgoing chair Tim Van Burkum was elected as vice chair. School district yearly items were announced. In the business manager’s report Kelly Christopherson covered the damage to district building’s from the July 2md tornado and wind storm including tiger stadium and the Huron Arena. Kelly said since the initial assessment other damage has been added.
Dr Kraig Steinhoff in his report talked about a request to the Huron School district to offer another after school program.
