A candidate forum was held this past Saturday in Huron as the June 2nd primary approaches. Municipal and school district elections are held in the primary starting this year. Candidates for one seat on the Huron School Board had the opportunity to speak to prospective voters. Incumbent Shelly Siemonsma spoke of her years on the board.
Sarah Meirose gave her opening comments.
A question was asked what the candidates would do with lower funding formulas from the state and reduced enrollment in the school district. Meirose gave her response.
