De Smet’s main street is undergoing a beautification project. The De Smet Community Foundation announced a $150,000 gift from De Smet Farm Mutual Insurance to support the main street beautification project. Rita Anderson, President of De Smet Community Foundation, recognized the support of De Smet Farm Mutual and their impact as a pillar of De Smet’s downtown business community for nearly 110 years.
Rita said other main street De Smet businesses are kicking in support.
Grace Aughenbaugh with De Smet Community Foundation said the project has been underway for some time.
Grace said there are opportunities to support the Downtown De Smet Beautification and are tax deductible to the De Smet Community Foundation.
