At Monday nights Huron City Commission meeting a short video was presented on the ongoing improvement to the solid waste transfer station including a kiosk for after hours.
The kiosk will allow for recycling and yard waste access after hours and over the weekend. Dale Fortin, solid waste superintendent, said the access for each material each month is 4 times for now.
Fortin said use of the kiosk for the yard waste area allows for a convenience fee for landscaping businesses.
The after hours kiosk is now in operation at the Huron Solid Waste Transfer station.
