Over the past two years with Dakota Avenue reconstruction, drivers may have concentrated on safe driving in the construction zone or just avoiding it altogether. It was a distraction that took away from other projects underway in Huron. A new structure is taking shape in the Huron yard for R C P & E railroad. GM with R C P & E Ryan Englebright gives an update.
Ryan said the R C P and E line is involved with several upgrades.
When the project is complete Englebright said rail traffic will be substantially updated.
Construction of the new R C P and E locomotive shop is on the north side of the tracks east of Dakota Avenue.
