The founder and executive director of Independent Health Solutions, Director of Angel House in Huron and a one time candidate for the Huron City Commission was arrested on October 11 th in Minnehaha County. The arrest and citations on several charges were related to a call to Minnehaha county deputies. Ashley Kingdon Reese of Huron was arrested and cited for child abuse, possession of a controlled substances in schedule I or II, driving under the influence, possession of less than 2 ounces of Marijuana and use or possession of drug paraphernalia. Information on the initial contact with Reese were not revealed. The charge of child abuse is still active with the Minnehaha County states attorney’s office. Reese was released on a personal recognizance bond. The next court hearing is scheduled for November 26th in Minnehaha County Circuit court.
Persons accused of charges in a criminal court are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
