After the closure of the Huron Plainsman, Brookings Register, Redfield Press and Moody County Register the wheels were turning to see what could be done. Plainsman editor Ben Chase, a regular attendee at the Huron City commission meeting, spoke in the public forum portion to let the public know that an offical purchase has been made.
Chase said the shock of the closure of the Plainsman earlier this month was eased by the support from the community.
