Last week, the legislature’s House State Affairs committee advanced House Bill 1184 — defining the terms ‘man’ and ‘woman,’ and prohibiting government funding for anything contrary to those definitions.
District 8 state Rep. Tim Reisch, R-Howard serves on that committee and voted for the measure.

District 7 state Sen. Tim Reed, R-Brookings said he’ll ask himself two questions before deciding how to vote.
Last Friday, lawmakers in the House State Affairs committee voted 10-2 to advance the measure to the full house floor with a ‘do pass’ recommendation.
