At Monday night’s Huron City Commission meeting Chad Schroder from the Huron Park and Recreation Department came before the commission about an emergency equipment replacement at the campus center.
Only one bid was received by the end of January deadline Schroder said most of the cost was originally budgeted for the building.
That emergency boiler replacement was approved on a unanimous vote. Barry Cranston and Ted Haeder with Greater Huron spoke before the commission to take care of the quit claim deed to allow for the construction of a new hotel in Huron. Barry said its the last step in the process.
Plans for construction of the new Huron Comfort Inn and Suites will continue.
