The Downtown Huron Improvement committee hosted an event with downtown business owners. The event was backed by the Huron Community Foundation. It was held to guide the support and growth of the downtown businesses. Co-chair of the committee Heather Burns discussed some of what was covered.
Heather said fundraising will be underway for the two planned 2026 downtown Huron events with other features to be impacted.
The downtown Huron area between Market and 5th was completed last year. Some features remain to be finished including the statue structures along Dakota.
Heather said plans for the downtown Huron Improvement will continue to form.
