The Shed ribbon cutting was held during Thursday events at the SD State Fair. Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources Secretary Hunter Roberts spoke of the Shed’s features.
Rufus Dezeeuw Superintendent of the Sheep program at the SD State Fair reviewed some comments from Shed attendees.
Governor Larry Rhoden spoke of the unique history of the former Sheep Shed on the fairgrounds. He also said the ribbon cutting of the Shed tied in with another recognition taking place.
In attendance at the ribbon cutting a long time sheep industry supporter Nancy Swanson.
Nancy recalled the traditions and history of the former sheep shed building and said the new facility fits in well for the fair.
