An idea that began in North Dakota when current Huron School Superintendent taught tech ed programs is ready to unfold in Huron with area schools. Dr. Kraig Steinhoff spoke about the CTE expansion program at a recent Community Partner Roundtable. He said the idea was presented to then State Senator David Wheeler leading up to the 20223 legislative session. The original bill requested $20 million for CTE funding state wide but Steinhoff said the final amount passed was reduced.
Steinhoff said the collaboration with area schools in the CTE program will begin on August 20th the first day of the Huron School District year. The area schools will also be participating in training using mobile trailer education units.
Jolene Konechne Director of ESL, CTE talked about added programs being offered.
